About the Company

SECCA Search Group is partnering with a national homebuilder to hire a Regional Director of Community Associations. This high-impact, fully remote role is ideal for a tenured Community Association professional with deep expertise in HOAs, COAs, and developer transitions. The position supports multiple business units nationwide and is instrumental in shaping the operations, compliance, and resident experience across new and established communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic oversight and implementation of HOA policies, procedures, and national initiatives
  • Analyze market operations, assess current HOA models, and recommend scalable improvements
  • Facilitate national councils, develop training programs, and standardize documentation across divisions
  • Guide transitions from developer control and support community turnover processes
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and external counsel on HOA compliance and policy issues
  • Evaluate property management partners and lead RFP processes
  • Lead communication strategies, resident engagement frameworks, and board governance
  • Manage risk mitigation, document retention systems, and track national performance metrics
  • Engage with HOA Boards and represent developer interests during board meetings and reviews

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Community Association Management with a strong background in developer transitions and board relations
  • Associate’s degree in legal studies or related; CAI license preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in Active Adult/55+ communities, HOAs, and COAs
  • Proven track record of implementing strategic operational change in a multi-division environment

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of community association law, risk management, and governance best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HOA software systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and lead remote teams across multiple states
  • Comfort with up to 50% travel, depending on project and market needs
