Vice President of Finance Role
Compensation: 180k – 200K base + bonus, Stock

About the Company
SECCA Search Group is partnering with one of the nation’s leading publicly traded homebuilders to hire a Vice President of Finance for their Florida division. This senior leadership role will play a key part in financial strategy, reporting, and operational planning to support continued growth in a high-performing regional market.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and variance analysis
- Partner with division leadership to align business goals with financial performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, GAAP, and regulatory standards
- Operational Oversight
- Drive cost analysis and reporting for land acquisition, construction, and sales performance
- Lead division-level financial planning initiatives and revenue optimization efforts
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement scalable financial systems and tools
- Manage and develop a finance team focused on accuracy, timeliness, and strategic insight
- Strategic Contribution
- Provide executive leadership with insights into market trends, risks, and financial opportunities
- Evaluate capital expenditures and investment strategies to drive ROI
- Collaborate with land, sales, and construction teams to improve division-level profitability
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Division President and Executive Team
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, ideally in homebuilding or real estate
- Background: Strong financial planning & analysis, budgeting, and reporting experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- Skills: Deep analytical expertise, leadership capability, and business acumen
- Mindset: Results-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative with executive presence
