About the Company
SECCA Search Group is partnering with one of the nation’s leading publicly traded homebuilders to hire a Vice President of Construction for their Florida division. This senior leadership role will oversee all vertical construction operations and play a key part in delivering high-quality homes on time and on budget while supporting continued regional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Construction Leadership & Execution
- Lead all field operations, scheduling, and construction activities across active communities
- Ensure adherence to production timelines, quality standards, and customer satisfaction goals
- Implement standardized processes to drive consistency and efficiency across the division

Oversee compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and corporate protocols
- Team Management & Vendor Oversight
- Drive cost analysis and reporting for land acquisition, construction, and sales performance
- Lead division-level financial planning initiatives and revenue optimization efforts
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement scalable financial systems and tools
- Manage and develop a finance team focused on accuracy, timeliness, and strategic insight
- Strategic Contribution
- Partner with Land, Sales, and Finance teams to drive division-wide performance
- Provide insights on build cycle times, costs, and margin improvement opportunities
- Support product development, plan design reviews, and value engineering initiatives
- Act as a key advisor to the Division President on construction-related strategies and risks
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years in residential construction leadership, ideally with a large or national homebuilder
- Background: Proven track record of managing multiple communities and large field teams
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Skills: Operational excellence, leadership, vendor management, and budget control
- Mindset: Results-driven, process-oriented, and collaborative with strong field presence
