🔹 Position: Director of Finance

SECCA Search Group is seeking a Director of Finance on behalf of a leading national homebuilder expanding its presence in Southwest Florida. This is a unique opportunity to join a start-up division with strong backing and high-growth potential.

About the Role:

This position reports directly to the Division President and plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the Southwest Florida division. As the first dedicated finance leader in this division, you will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and ensuring financial controls as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• • Financial Strategy & Budgeting: Develop and execute the division’s annual and revised homebuilding budgets to support aggressive growth.
• • Operational & Financial Performance: Maximize profitability through margin optimization, cost control, and strategic investments.
• • Land & Investment Analysis: Assess potential land deals to ensure strong financial returns—currently, 1,000 lots under control.
• • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate forecasting, backlog tracking, and financial statements for decision-making.
• • Team Leadership & Process Development: Build best-in-class financial processes for a fast-growing homebuilder with six active communities.
• • Technology & Compliance: Support IT system implementations (JDE, HMS) and ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards.
• • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with operations, sales, and land teams to align financial objectives with business strategy.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• • 7+ years of financial management experience (homebuilding or real estate preferred).
• • Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies in a growing division.
• • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• • Knowledge of homebuilding financial systems (JDE, HMS) is a plus.
• • Leadership skills with the ability to build and improve financial processes.
