🔹 Position: Director of Land Acquisition

📍 Location: Austin, TX

SECCA Search Group is looking for a Director of Land Acquisition on behalf of a national, well-funded privately held homebuilder. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in identifying and acquiring prime land opportunities to support the company’s expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Land Acquisition: Identify and evaluate potential land opportunities aligned with the company's growth objectives.
• Market Research & Feasibility Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, zoning reviews, and financial feasibility assessments.
• Negotiation & Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms for acquisitions, including purchase agreements, entitlements, and closing conditions.
• Due Diligence Management: Oversee all due diligence processes, including title reviews, environmental assessments, and land-use approvals.
• Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, and government agencies.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with construction, finance, and legal teams to integrate acquisitions into the homebuilding process.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with local regulations and mitigate risks associated with land purchases.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in land acquisition within the homebuilding industry.
• Proven track record of successful land deals and strong knowledge of local market dynamics.
• Exceptional negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
• Strong financial analysis and market research capabilities.
• Understanding of zoning, entitlements, environmental regulations, and land development factors.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
