01 / The Opportunity

About the role.

The VP of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving sales performance, shaping marketing strategy, and building a scalable, results-oriented sales organization across active and upcoming communities.

This individual will lead and develop the sales team while aligning marketing initiatives with traffic, conversion, absorption, and revenue goals. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, with a strong focus on coaching, accountability, and consistent execution across the organization.

02 / Responsibilities

What you'll do.

    Lead and develop the sales organization to achieve community absorption, revenue, and closing goals.

  2. 02

    Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability metrics across the sales team.

  3. 03

    Recruit, train, coach, and mentor sales leaders and new home sales professionals.

  4. 04

    Partner with internal marketing teams and external agencies to support traffic generation, lead conversion, community positioning, and brand presence.

  5. 05

    Align sales and marketing initiatives to improve lead quality, buyer engagement, and overall community performance.

  6. 06

    Contribute to pricing strategy, incentive planning, community positioning, and go-to-market execution.

  7. 07

    Analyze market conditions, buyer behavior, competitive activity, traffic, conversion rates, cancellations, and absorption trends.

  8. 08

    Develop and monitor sales forecasts, performance reports, and key KPIs across active communities.

  9. 09

    Identify performance gaps and implement corrective strategies to improve sales velocity and team execution.

  10. 10

    Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Land Development, Construction, and executive leadership to ensure alignment around business objectives.

    Build and reinforce a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, consistency, and results.

03 / Experience

What we're looking for.

  • 8+ years of residential homebuilding sales leadership experience at the Director, Vice President, or equivalent level.
  • Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing sales teams across multiple communities.
  • Strong understanding of both sales and marketing functions within a production homebuilding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to align sales strategy, pricing, incentives, and marketing initiatives to drive results.
  • Experience monitoring and improving traffic, conversion, absorption, backlog, and community-level performance.
  • Strong strategic planning, communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively within a growing and evolving organization.
  • Experience working within the Pacific Northwest housing market strongly preferred.
