Land Financial Analyst
Compensation: $90K–$100K base + Bonus

About the Role
The Land Financial Analyst will support the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions related to land acquisition and land development activities. This role partners closely with Land Acquisition, Land Development, Finance, and executive leadership to provide financial insights that support investment decisions, project performance, and long-term business strategy.

What you’ll do:
Prepare financial analyses and underwriting models to evaluate land acquisition and development opportunities.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for land acquisition and development projects.
Monitor project performance by analyzing budgets, actual costs, forecasts, and financial variances.
Assist with due diligence by reviewing project assumptions, development costs, market data, and financial risks.
Maintain and update financial models, land databases, and project tracking reports.
Partner with Land Acquisition, Land Development, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and project forecasting.
Prepare reports and presentations for divisional and executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities while recommending solutions to improve financial performance.
Support continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and internal controls.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Experience in financial analysis, land finance, real estate, accounting, or related finance functions.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to build and interpret financial models.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial reporting systems.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience within residential homebuilding, land development, real estate, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
