Compensation: Starting at $120k/year base + Comission

About the Role
The Land Acquisition Manager will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and advancing residential land opportunities across the Dallas market. This individual will support the full acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing and initial underwriting through contract negotiation and due diligence coordination.
The role requires someone who is commercially minded, relationship-driven, and comfortable managing multiple active opportunities in a fast-paced environment while working closely with internal leadership and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Identify and pursue new land acquisition opportunities through broker relationships, landowner outreach, market research, and industry networking
Maintain strong visibility into active and emerging opportunities across the market.
Support contract negotiations, letters of intent, and overall deal structuring efforts from initial pursuit through closing.
Coordinate and evaluate due diligence efforts including zoning, entitlement considerations, utilities, environmental conditions, permitting requirements, and site feasibility assessments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, consultants, and other external stakeholders involved in the acquisition process.
Monitor market activity, competitor trends, pricing dynamics, and local growth patterns to inform acquisition strategy and identify high-potential opportunities.
Partner closely with Land Development, Finance, Construction, and executive leadership teams to ensure acquisition assumptions align with operational goals and long-term strategy.
Maintain pipeline visibility, track active pursuits, and prepare reporting and updates for leadership on deal status and opportunity progress.
What we’re looking for:
3+ years of experience in land acquisition.
Strong understanding of residential development processes, land underwriting, and due diligence coordination.
Experience negotiating land transactions and managing external stakeholder relationships.
Ability to evaluate market opportunities and navigate complex acquisition processes.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
