About the Role

The Regional Purchasing Manager will play a critical leadership role in overseeing purchasing operations across multiple residential communities within the region. This individual will be responsible for driving purchasing strategy, managing vendor relationships, supporting cost control initiatives, and ensuring alignment between purchasing, construction, and operational objectives.

The role requires someone who can balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution while operating effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

What you’ll do:

Lead regional purchasing efforts across multiple communities, driving cost control initiatives, value engineering opportunities, and purchasing efficiencies aligned with operational goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors across the region.
Support trade negotiations, evaluate vendor performance, and ensure consistent pricing and service levels.
Oversee subcontractor and vendor agreement processes, including pricing negotiations, scope alignment, contract administration, and renewals.
Monitor market conditions, material pricing trends, labor availability, and regional cost fluctuations to inform purchasing strategy and forecasting.
Partner closely with Construction, Operations, Land Development, Architecture, and executive leadership teams to ensure alignment with schedules, product standards, and business objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing workflows, reporting visibility, trade coordination, and overall operational efficiency.
Support and mentor purchasing team members while helping establish accountability, consistency, and strong communication across regional purchasing operations.

What we’re looking for:

10+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, construction operations, or residential homebuilding.
Strong understanding of residential construction processes, subcontractor management, and purchasing operations.
Experience negotiating vendor agreements and managing trade relationships across multiple projects or communities.
Ability to manage budgets, analyze costs, and support operational decision-making.
Prior leadership or regional oversight experience strongly preferred.

Cost analysis, budgeting, and operational planning.
Cross-functional collaboration across construction, land, and operations teams.
